How We Verify Car Detailing Listings
Every business listed on Car Detailing Colorado goes through a verification process before it appears in our directory. Here’s exactly what that means.
Car Detailing Colorado is a directory — not a booking platform or review aggregator. Our goal is to connect Colorado drivers with legitimate, operating car detailing businesses. To do that responsibly, we’ve built a verification process that checks each listing before it goes live and periodically reviews active listings to make sure the information stays accurate.
This page explains what we verify, how we verify it, and what our verification badges mean.
What “Verified” Means on Our Directory
A verified listing on Car Detailing Colorado means we have confirmed at least the following:
- The business phone number connects to a real person or voicemail associated with the business name
- The business serves the geographic area listed (city and service radius)
- The business offers car detailing services as described in the listing
- Contact information is accurate at the time of verification
Verification does not mean we have personally audited the quality of the business’s work, reviewed their insurance status, or confirmed their licensing. It means the business is real, contactable, and operating in the location stated.
Our Verification Process — Step by Step
Step 1: Submission Review
When a business submits a listing through our Add Your Business form, our team reviews the submission before it’s approved. We check:
- That the business name, phone, and city are all provided
- That the business category (mobile detailer, detail shop, ceramic coating specialist, etc.) is accurate
- That there are no obvious red flags (duplicate entries, fake business names, placeholder contact info)
Step 2: Contact Confirmation
For listings we flag as high-priority or where we have questions, we attempt a phone call or email to confirm the business is active and the contact details are correct. This is not done for every submission, but is part of our spot-check process for new listings and any listing that has received a complaint.
Step 3: Cross-Reference Check
We cross-reference new submissions against publicly available information, including Google Business Profile listings, the business’s website (if provided), and social media presence. A business with consistent information across multiple sources is more likely to receive verified status quickly.
Step 4: Ongoing Monitoring
Verification is not a one-time stamp. We periodically review active listings — especially those with reported issues — to make sure contact information is still accurate and the business is still operating. Listings that become unreachable or that generate user complaints may have their verified status suspended pending re-verification.
What We Don’t Verify
In the interest of transparency, here’s what our verification process does not include:
- Insurance or bonding status — We do not verify whether a detailer carries liability insurance or is bonded. We recommend asking any detailer directly before booking.
- Quality of work — We do not personally inspect or evaluate the quality of detailing services. User reviews and your own research are the best indicators.
- Pricing accuracy — Prices in listings are provided by the businesses themselves and may change. Always confirm pricing directly with the detailer.
- Real-time availability — We don’t track whether a business is currently accepting new customers or has open appointment slots.
- Employee background checks — We do not screen individual technicians or employees of listed businesses.
How to Report a Problem with a Listing
If you encounter a listing with inaccurate information, a disconnected phone number, or a business you believe is no longer operating, please contact us using our contact form. Include the business name and a brief description of the issue. We review all reports and take action — typically within 2–3 business days.
We take the accuracy of our directory seriously. Inaccurate listings hurt the drivers trying to find a detailer and reflect poorly on the directory. Reports from users are one of the most valuable tools we have for keeping information current.
How Businesses Can Get Verified
If your business is listed on Car Detailing Colorado and you’d like to pursue verified status or claim your listing:
- Claim your listing using the “Claim This Listing” button on your business’s listing page
- Ensure your contact information is accurate — phone, address, and service area
- Add a website or social media link to help with cross-referencing
- Respond to any outreach from our team — we may contact you directly as part of the verification check
Listing and verification are free. We do not charge businesses to appear in our directory or to receive a verified badge.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if a listing is verified?
Verified listings display a verified badge on their listing page. Unverified listings are still visible in the directory but do not carry the verified indicator.
Do you charge businesses for listing or verification?
No. Basic listing and verification are free for all Colorado car detailing businesses. We offer premium listing packages with enhanced features, but standard directory listings are always free.
How often are listings reviewed?
We conduct periodic reviews of active listings and prioritize any listing that has received a user report. High-traffic listings are reviewed more frequently than low-traffic ones.
Can a business lose its verified status?
Yes. If we are unable to reach a business by phone or if a listing generates confirmed reports of inaccurate information, the verified badge may be suspended until the business re-verifies their details.
Is verification the same as an endorsement?
No. Verification confirms the business is real and reachable — it is not an endorsement of the quality of their work or a recommendation by Car Detailing Colorado. We encourage you to read reviews, ask questions, and use your own judgment when choosing a detailer.
